Davis Cup Preview Match Spoiled in Miami
Andy Roddick and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga were on course to meet in the fourth round of the Sony Ericson Open in Miami this week, but Tsonga lost to countryman Julien Bennetau 6-3, 6-3, spoiling a possible preview of the Davis Cup showdown set for April 11-13 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Both Roddick and the other American singles line, James Blake, remain alive in the Miami tournament. Blake beat Radek Stepanek today to move onto the quarters. Both Tsonga, and the other likely French singles player, Richard Gasquet, are out in Miami.
