NBC Sports’ Priority: Mexican Midget Deaths Trump Wimbledon
If you are confused as I am why ESPN would be playing LAST YEAR’s final and NBC is not on yet while a perfectly good match is being played live, this says it all about NBC’s feelings for tennis: On NBC Sports web page, the lead story has this headline: “2 Mexican Midget Wrestlers Drugged to Death.” Not to mention having an editor who doesn’t even understand the basic AP writing style required of Journalism 101 classes (never start a headline with a numeral, and two should always be spelled out), this also shows what NBC has at its core: A true hatred of tennis fans. The way they manage the Grand Slam semifinal coverage of Wimbledon and the French Open is the absolute worst, a blatant insult to people who have been following the tournament live for two weeks. Take my advice, skip NBC and watch it live or listen to it online at Radio Wimbledon.

Sitting here listening to Radio Wimbledon, Roddick and Murray at 3-4 in fourth set. NBC has tape delay, and in that world it is 4-3 in the second set. NBC thinks it is still in the pre-internet era, circa 1982.
