Because the two countries have never played, the home court advantage for Serbia was decided by a “drawing of lots.”   You can be sure it will be slow red clay in the former Yugoslavia.  Considering the tough matches the U.S. lost in nearby Croatia in July, you know it’s the last choice the U.S. would have wanted. The highlight match could be Andy Roddick and Djokovic, with the odds in the Serb’s favor on clay.

If the U.S. can get past Serbia, it will be assured of a second round home-court match against Croatia or Ecuador on July 9-11.  You can be sure the U.S. would like to avenge its loss to the Croatians, the only team the U.S. has never beaten and has a losing record against.
