			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The six stops on the ATP tour of the <a href="http://www.usopenseries.com/en/Tournaments/Default.aspx" target="_blank">U.S. Open series </a>include only two top-tier American cities:  Los Angeles and Washington.  But the rest of it is either second tier &#8212; Indianapolis and Cincinatti; fourth tier, New Haven; or not even the U.S., either Montreal and Toronto, depending on the year.  Why can&#8217;t the USTA get tournaments in major-league cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco or Seattle?  Compare in your mind the cities of Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and New Haven with the pre-French Open stops like Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome, and Madrid.  No wonder the game is more popular in other countries.</p>
